Cranwell based Beech 200 King Air overshooting at Coningsby. This is the airframe marked with the 45 Squadron anniversary tail.

Four 3 Sqn F2s return in the overhead while a heavy passes overhead.

Catching a strobe on a jet is always nice, although pure chance.

Nice clear winter skies are perfect to shoot in.

The Sqn CO's jet was one of the four returning. Fuselage tanks are standard fit now.

6 Sqn Jaguar's were also up in the clear morning.

This Jaguar is not fitted with any AIM-9 training rounds on the overwing pylons.

Lead jet from a 493rd FS pair overshooting. 48th FW Eagles seem to like Coningsby.

Followed by a pair of E's from the 492nd FS, also based at Lakenheath.

17(R) Sqn's single T1 also returning. The mailed fist of the sqn has been toned down considerably since the unit operated Tornado's.

The F2 that followed approached rather low - this is the only shot were it is not behind the trees.

The 41 Sqn Harriers often pull a tight circuit which is quite nice for the photographer.

'Venus 1 & 2' were a pair of Tucano's from Linton which arrived on a navigation exercise.

ZJ808 on the normal angle for a approach into Coningsby.

The second jet got it rather wobbly on finals, presenting it's underside to the photographers.

This is why I went back to Coningsby on a friday. six 3 Sqn, two 17 Sqn and a single 29 Sqn (no centreline tank) F2's in a nine ship diamond. Unfortunately, right after this shot the camera lost power for a few moments - sods law!

A single T1 was also sent aloft as a photo ship - see the camera being held by the backseater?
