Howard Cook in a former RAF Chipmunk. Howard is locally based at Bury St Edmunds and sometimes flys as the leader of a four ship of Chipmunks called 'The Red Sparrows'.

Also a quite rare sight on the UK airshow circuit, is a Slingsby T67 Firefly. The aircraft is operated in the markings of the former Hong Kong Auxilliary Air Force.

A Yak 52. Various variants, in both single and two-seat versions are flying privately in the UK.

Taken in the rain (of which there was plenty!) ZH543 is new on the SAR flight at Wattisham. Two days earlier, this airframe had returned to Wattisham from a training flight with a PAN (emergency) call, the wheels wouldn't come down and lock. Upon returning the ground crew manually cranked the wheels down and locked them while it was in the hover.

Little bit of honesty here - I've never liked the T-28 and I don't know why. That said, in a day of good displays this guy was probably the best with a series of fast, top-side passes.

A very typical Italian colour scheme which modellers must love!

Normally - and quite understandbly - that most careful of performers, even 'Sally B' presented some pleasing angles as she banked around the top corner.

By this time the sun was becoming a rarity, yet came out for 'Sally B' just at the right time.

Even the BBMF got in on the act, this was there arrival pass before the split - there won't be many shows were you can get this angle.

BBMF Spitfire V AB910 wears the wartime desert scheme of Wg Cdr Ian Gleed, who as is RAF tradition with Wing Commanders, carried his own initals as the Spitfire's code.

Of all the Spitfires flown both privately and by the BBMF, this is by far my favourite, just a shame there wasn't just a little more sun.

Painted in the striking colours of a night intruder Hurricane, PZ865 looks superb as it goes around the Rougham dog-leg.
